Bank statement to CSV converter
Drop a PDF bank statement and download a CSV with one row per transaction, either Debit and Credit columns or a single signed Amount. Nothing leaves your browser.
Exports to Excel · CSV · QBO · OFX · QFX · Xero · Tally
How it works
Three steps. No upload.
The whole conversion runs in your browser tab, so your statement never reaches a server.
- 01
Drop the PDF
Bank or credit card statement, up to 100 files at a time.
- 02
Fix anything that’s flagged
Rows with a problem are highlighted. Edit, add or exclude rows before you export.
- 03
Pick a layout and download
Choose three or four columns and a date style, then download. Several files come as a zip.
The balance check
A CSV has no checksum, so we check first
A CSV can’t tell you it is missing a line. Whatever program opens it will happily total what’s there. So the check happens before the file is written: every row is added up and compared with the opening and closing balances printed on the statement.
If they don’t match to the cent, the review screen shows the difference, for example “Off by 12.40”, and the page where a row was probably missed. You can add the row there, then export a file that matches the statement.
example-bank_2026-09.pdf
- Opening balance
- 5,210.00
- + Credits
- 4,820.15
- − Debits
- 2,457.43
- = We calculated
- 7,572.72
- Statement says
- 7,572.72
If the last row had been missed:

The file
Plain columns, nothing clever
Two layouts, both from a made-up statement. The header row is always there, amounts use a dot as the decimal point with no thousands separators, and dates follow the style you pick.
Four columns (the default)
| Date | Description | Debit | Credit | Balance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 09/02/2026 | Payroll deposit | 2400.00 | 7610.00 | |
| 09/03/2026 | Rent · Oak Street LLC | 1850.00 | 5760.00 | |
| 09/05/2026 | Card 4821 · supplies | 63.18 | 5696.82 | |

| 09/12/2026 | City Power | 142.60 | 6874.37 |
Three columns, one signed amount
| Date | Description | Amount | Balance |
|---|---|---|---|
| 09/02/2026 | Payroll deposit | 2400.00 | 7610.00 |
| 09/03/2026 | Rent · Oak Street LLC | -1850.00 | 5760.00 |
| 09/05/2026 | Card 4821 · supplies | -63.18 | 5696.82 |
- Date styles
- MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD. The default follows the statement.
- Money out and in
- Four columns: Debit and Credit, both positive. Three columns: one Amount, money out negative.
- Balance
- Added as a last column when the statement prints a running balance.
- Safe for spreadsheets
- A description that starts with =, +, - or @ gets a leading apostrophe so a spreadsheet won’t run it as a formula.
- Accents
- The file is UTF-8 with a byte-order mark, so Excel shows accents and symbols correctly.
Import
Where a CSV goes

- 2.Dates and amounts come in as dates and numbers.
QuickBooks Online
- 1.Go to Transactions, then Bank transactions, then Upload transactions, and pick the CSV.
- 2.Map the columns on the next screen. Choose the layout that matches what you downloaded.

- 2.Most other tools map columns on import. Point them at Date, Description and the amount columns.
