FAQ
Banks, answered
Does my bank have to be on this list?
No. Any bank that gives you a text PDF works, which is almost all of them when you download from online banking. These pages cover the banks people ask about most: how to get the PDF, what the layout looks like and how to import it.
How do I know a statement was read correctly?
Every statement is checked against its printed opening and closing balances. If they don’t add up, the review screen shows “Off by” with the amount and points at the row where the running balance breaks.
Are you connected to any of these banks?
No. We are independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any bank listed here. Names appear as plain text only, to say which statements a page is about.
Do I have to give you my bank login?
No, and we never ask. You download the PDF yourself from your bank and drop it in. There is no connection to your bank account.
What about banks in other countries?
Statements from banks elsewhere work the same way. Dates and numbers in US, UK, EU and Indian styles are read, including lakh grouping and CR or DR balances. More bank pages will follow.
