Short answer

Citi lets you download recent transactions for many accounts and cards, with file options that can include CSV. Statement history is limited, so older months are the PDF statements you convert.

What a Citi statement looks like

US statements print dates as month and day, often with no year, and many list money in and money out in separate sections. The sketch is ours, drawn from public information, and your own statement may differ.

Debit and credit columns
Checking statements typically show money out and money in in separate columns, with a balance.
Two dates on cards
Credit card statements often list both a transaction date and a posting date. The converter uses one date per row, and the balance check tells you if a row was misread.
Several products in one PDF
A relationship statement can hold more than one account. A PDF with several accounts is split into one statement per account.

FAQ

Citi statements, answered

Does Citi give me CSV files?
For recent activity, often yes. For anything beyond what the website covers, you need the monthly PDF. Convert it here to get Excel, CSV or QBO.
Can one Citi PDF hold more than one account?
Sometimes. When it does, it is split into one statement per account, each with its own balance check.
Is this affiliated with Citibank, N.A.?
No. Tableaf is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Citibank, N.A.. The name is used only to say which statements this page is about. Citi and its marks belong to their owners.
Is my Citi statement uploaded anywhere?
No. A text PDF is read by code running in your browser and the file you download is built there too. Nothing reaches our servers, and it keeps working offline after your first visit. How we handle your data.
How do I know every Citi transaction was read?
Every statement is checked against its printed opening and closing balances. If they don’t add up, the review screen shows “Off by” with the amount and points at the page or the row where the running balance breaks. Any text PDF should work, and that check is how you know it did.
Does it read a scanned or paper Citi statement?
Not yet. A scan has no text to read, so it needs OCR on a server, which is planned for paid plans. Statements you download from online banking are text PDFs and work today.
